Civil Air Patrol cadets wear and maintain two Air Force style uniforms with CAP distinctions: Airman Battle Uniform and Dress Blue Uniforms. These uniforms are a highly-respected symbol of honor and dignity, as they are uniforms of the United States Air Force. In order to properly display and respect these uniforms, an adherence to a "dress code" is required. These including things such as jewelry, grooming, and appropriate times to wear these uniforms.
