Parents and Their Role in the Civil Air Patrol

Civil Air Patrol's cadet experience is best when everyone participates -- including the parents of the cadets in our squadron. We need more than your monetary support. We need your commitment to helping our cadets have the fullest, most complete Civil Air Patrol experience they can get. That often means we could use your time as well and urge you to consider joining as either a senior member or sponsor member, which allows parents to help with many activities. This includes accompanying the squadron on field trips, bringing cadets up to Orange County airport for exciting O-flights in CAP aircraft, transporting cadets to TRAEXs (search and rescue exercises), or even join in our weekly activities and help us to plan special events.

The most important role of any parent whose child is in CAP is to encourage his or her progress through the program.
